Turmeric Chai Black Tea 100 % Organic

Kosher, Non-GMO, Gluten Free,

Description:

Organic Turmeric Chai Black Tea is a spice-rice blend with a robust, woody flavor profile. Warming cinnamon, ginger and clove surround the earthy turmeric and black pepper - with sweet hints of cardamom, anise and fennel.

Chai is already exotic on its own, but the addition of turmeric and black pepper really kicks it up a notch.  The slightly yellow color of this latte comes from the curcumin found in turmeric. Curcumin has significant anti-inflammatory properties that rival those found in ibuprofen.  In addition, curcumin’s powerful antioxidant advantages have been shown to protect healthy cells, particularly those found in the colon, from cancer-causing agents.

  • inflammation of the gallbladder or gallbladder stones
  • obstruction of bile passages
  • stomach ulcers
  • diabetes (turmeric supplements may lower blood sugar)

Taking too much turmeric may cause side effects, however. These include:

increased stomach acidity, which can cause ulcers

  • a blood-thinning effect
  • Because turmeric may thin your blood, you should stop drinking turmeric tea two weeks before surgery.
  • Do not take turmeric tea if you are on blood thinners, either.

CAUTION: If pregnant, nursing, suffering from any medical condition, or taking medication, consult a health care practitioner before use. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Test before use. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.
